A little bit of Bully does ya good.
Well I'll be, I am so chuffed. I was sitting in my conservatory watching the rain, and more interestingly the baby Starlings fighting over a large piece of suet I have hanging up on one of my wild bird feeders, when out of the blue a male Bullfinch drops by, now anyone who knows me will tell you I love the Bullfinch, I also hate then with a passion when it comes to photographing the little buggars, why? Because no matter what I do or where I go I never seem to get near them, only on the very odd occasion have I been fortunate enough to get a picture of one, even then it was a dull overcast day while waiting for a Bittern to show itself at the Eyebrook reservoir in February.
My best Bully image
Rain or no rain out I went to top up the feeders, paying particular attention to the niger and sunflower heart feeders, bullies love both these seeds, please let him be a regular visitor to my garden from now on.
I had intended getting a few images of the Kestrel chicks in the nest on my patch today but the rain scuppered that idea, although the day was not a complete wash out as I went and got the Ma-in-Law a new hearing aid, that should please her neighbours now she can have the tele on a lower volume.
